Specialized Therapy Services
My practice focuses on providing specialized, Identity-Affirming care for the complex conflicts that arise where trauma, faith, and intimacy intersect. We work to create safety, dismantle shame, and build authentic connection in both your internal and external world.
Issues Addressed in Couples Therapy
Couples therapy is designed to heal relational ruptures, bridge communication gaps, and restore secure intimacy in partnerships challenged by external and internal pressures.
Mixed-Faith Conflict & Values Clash: Navigating profound differences in beliefs, helping partners stabilize the relationship, and de-triangulating from external systems.
Desire Discrepancy: Bridging the gap created by mismatched libido and helping partners create a new, shared, shame-free sexual script.
Sexual Shame & Avoidance: Addressing relational disconnect where purity culture trauma or guilt has caused one or both partners to shut down intimacy.
OCSB & Betrayal Trauma: Healing the relational system following Out-of-Control Sexual Behavior by stabilizing the partnership and repairing trust.
Intimacy After Trauma: Addressing hypervigilance, dissociation, or emotional detachment that prevents partners from feeling safe and present with each other.
Complex Dynamics: Counseling for neuro-spicy differences (e.g., ADHD) that impact communication, or managing conflict within Consensual Non-Monogamy (CNM) structures.
Perinatal Intimacy Strain: Supporting couples through changes in sexual function, desire, and relational roles during the transition to parenthood.
Issues Addressed in Individual Therapy
Individual sessions focus on deep internal work—processing trauma, healing shame, and reclaiming the self—to establish safety, autonomy, and a clear sense of purpose.
Religious Trauma & Deconstruction Grief: Healing the profound loss of community and identity following a faith transition or exiting a High-Demand System.
Purity Culture Shame Healing: Processing and dismantling the internalized guilt and negative sexual scripts that limit self-worth and sexual freedom.
Identity Exploration: Providing affirming support for Sexual and Gender Identity discovery, helping you integrate your whole self after experiencing cultural or spiritual conflict.
Trauma Processing: Using IFS (Internal Family Systems) and EMDR principles to process complex or childhood trauma, addressing the roots of anxiety and emotional overwhelm.
Sexual Anxiety & Function: Addressing individual concerns like performance anxiety, pain, or dissociation during intimacy, and rebuilding a positive relationship with your body.
OCSB (Individual Focus): Treating compulsive sexual behavior as a symptom of underlying trauma or attachment wounds, focusing on self-compassion and emotional regulation.
Boundary & Autonomy Issues: Reclaiming self-determination and building the confidence to set and Hold Boundaries with Grace in challenging family or social environments.
Insurance Reimbursement Policy
Out-of-Network (OON) Status: Reimbursement is Available
While I do not bill insurance companies directly, and I am not paneled with specifice insurance companies, your services are typically reimbursable if you have Out-of-Network benefits. Many health insurance providers and employee benefit plans will offer partial reimbursement for therapy sessions with licensed OON providers.
I offer a limited number of reduced-rate slots based on financial need.
If your circumstances prevent you from paying the full fee, please inquire about current availability when booking your initial consultation.
Your Steps for Reimbursement and Payment
Superbills: I will gladly provide you with a Superbill—a detailed receipt of services—that you can easily submit directly to your insurance carrier. This statement contains all the necessary information and codes for your insurance company to process potential reimbursement.
Client Responsibility: It is recommended that you contact your insurance carrier prior to our first session to confirm your specific OON coverage, deductible status, and what percentage of the fee they will reimburse.
Payment is due at the time of service. For your convenience, I accept all major credit cards, cash, checks, and pre-tax funds via Health Savings Accounts (HSA), Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA), and Medical Savings Accounts (MSA).
